Property Details

Farmhouse Villa in Italy: Lovingly restored Stately Villa with tended garden and baby swimming pool, with panoramic views. Situated among olive groves and vineyards with stunning view across the valley. Within easy reach of the Renaissance treasures of Florence, Siena and Pisa. Good shopping facilities nearby. Good walking country and superb unspoiled scenery.

This charming Tuscan house has maintained the traditional terra-cotta floors and beamed ceilings, but with all the modern comforts.
The Villa is composed by two large apartments, one for Guests (1st floor) and one for the owners (basement). The apartment for guests is on one level, plus an open-loft with an extra sofa-bed. The open-plan living room and kitchen/dining area has comfortable seating for 6 and large, picture windows overlooking the Chianti Valleys.
Two bedrooms have their own private bathroom. There is direct access to a little terrace. A stone staircase lead to the garden and to the little swimming pool (5 mts large). The owners are on hand to help, advise and make your stay as pleasant as possible. The house is furnished with Tuscan country style furniture. All linen is included and a start up kit is available on request. The manor provides calm and tranquillity and a perfect base for discovering the delights of Tuscany.

Area Description

The Chianti Area offers a true glimpse of the romantic Tuscan life. Aside from easy access to all the major tourist locations in Florence and the Chianti region, with Greve, San Gimignano and many other picturesque villages, there are fabulous local restaurants offering local cuisine. Hiking and mountain biking are popular in the area. Horse riding is available and is possible to start the ride from the Villa. The famous Castel Ruggero’s lake is only 15 minutes walking from the Villa, surrounded by old and romantic woods; it’s fresh and clean waters will be a paradisiacal pleasure and pure relax after a nice walking in the area. The Golf Club Ugolino, one of the most known Golf Course in Italy, it’s also very close to the Villa. And if you like a lovely evening by the fire, stay with us and enjoy a nice evening in with a fine local Chianti.

Fantastic base for exploring: Florence is 15 minutes drive, Siena is an hour, Lucca is 1.5 hours and Rome is just under two hours away. Capannuccia is at the northern tip of the Chianti region. The entire area is dotted with fantastic local restaurants. The Villa is about two hours from either coast with relaxing beach towns to the west and party towns to the east. If you like motor sport, we are in the middle of three of Italys finest race tracks: Mugello, Imola, and Misano, where F1 Ferrari’s team frequently organise test and training sessions.

Golf Information: the Villa is only 5 minutes drive from the Golf Club Ugolino.
It was constructed in the Chianti hills in 1933 and was designed by British architects Blandford and Gannon who had also designed the course at Monza near Milan. It exploits at best the natural characteristics of the Tuscan landscape: the cypress and olive trees, the slopes that curve and follow the magnificent scenery, the small greens which are often very well-defended. Ugolino is largely synonymous with Italian golfing history.
